碩士 === 中華大學 === 工業研究所 === 84 === Cumulative Trauma Disorders are the injuries occurred in the muscle, tendon, and never tissue in the body regions of workers. In recent years,the number of identified CTD in industry in many countries is increasing which make CTD a global occupational safety and health problem. Semiconductor industry is one of the most leading high- tech industries in Taiwan. The working population in the industry increased rapidly in the past fifteen years. The objective of this research was to investigate the prevalence of CTD in the semiconductor manufacturers. Standardized Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaires were collected form nine major semiconductor manufacturing companies in Hsinchu Science Industrial Park. Among the 518 subjects interviewed, 74% reported musculoskeletal symptoms. Most of the symptoms reported were "pain". Among the subjects who reported sympotoms,65% of them responded that their work and/or leisure activities were affected adversely by the symptoms.sixteen seven of those believed that their sympotoms were related fully or partially to their work.What most workers did to their symptoms were "nothing", "massage", and "rest".Most symptoms reported were in the neck,low back, shoulder, and foot/ankle.The symptoms in those body regions might be attributed to both the work and workplace disgen which implied that ergonomic intevention in semiconductor industy were essentiae to improveeoryplace this symptom is, all or part of them, involving in the workplace Safety.
