Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程學系 === 84 === This thesis presents the analysis and design for a series- resonant converter with variable frequency and phase-shift control applied to electric arc welding machines. With the proposed control scheme, the main switches of this converter always hold zero-voltage switching (ZVS) from very light to full load. The conventional output filter inductor is removed from the load so as the assumption of a constant current sink is no longer valid, thus complicating the analyses dramatically. The operating principles of the converter applied to a welding machine are described in detail from which the boundary condition between continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) are therefore derived, and the design procedure is outlined as well. Computer simulated and experimental results obtained from a prototype are presented to confirm the analytical derivation.
