Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程學系 === 84 === ABSTRACT System capacity improvement is the main drive behind the development ofthe new time division multiple access (TDMA) digital cellular system. Manycellular standards are developed, such as GSM, DECT, etc... This thesis isconcerned with initial access procedure and handoff procedure of PersonalAccess Communication System (PACS). In this thesis, we set up two different TDMA cellular frequency reusesystems based on PACS system by using BONeS (Block Oriented NetworkSimulator) simulation tool. Based on these simulation systems, weindividually investigate initial access procedure and handoff procedure inPACS system, and find out the optimal values of parameters. Finally, wepropose a new criterion to update ALT/TST trigger procedure to improve thesystem performance.
