Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 84 === This thesis generalizes the load scaling techniques proposed in [8,9] by relating thecriticality and flexibility of a process to the resource allocation problem. We propose aframework to adjust the system workload when processes may change their timingparameters in reaction to the environment. When the list of allowable configurationsin implicitly given by scalable periodic processes, the corresponding weighted period assignment problem is shown to be NP-complete. We present an approximationalgorithm for the period assignment problem and propose load adjustment procedureswhich maximize the system profit in an on-line fashion. We also prove the upperbound of the system profit. A mechanism to balance the schedulability and the maximum profit of a system is proposed.
