Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 83 === The goal of this research is aimed at first to investigate the
mechanism of vehicle overturning under various road and
operation conditions. Secondly,a warning device is designed
based on the result of dynamic analysis, loading condition and
fuzzy logic such that as the loading condition and the status
of vehicle motion approach marginal condition of overturning,
the warning device can send a signal to the driver to avoid
potential danger. Based on the results of dynamic analysis, the
prime factors affect the overturning of forklift trucks include
the loading condition, road slope,acceleration, turning rate
and braking force. We defined a safety index based on the
location of equivalent mass center, and designed a micro-
computer based warning device equipped with sensors to measure
the operation condition and a set of fuzzy logic to deal with
the possible effect of braking in the future while the vehicle
is running at high speed. These information are then weighted
and combined together for graphical display as well as alarming
sound to the driver in real-time. The effectiveness and
reliability of this scheme is verified by computer simulation.A
more complete and realistic computer simulation combining
nonlinear vehicle dynamics and warning device is currently
under development, we expect the simulation results can provide
valuable information for future design modifications of the
warning device.
