Description
Summary:博士 === 淡江大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 83 === This paper attempts to provide that the manager, who manages extensive communication network under the communication demand function and communication flow of users at any time, could use the models (the optimal division of communication demand area and the optimal arrangement of communication centers) to estimate the communication efficiency of a hierarchical communication network with single trunk line. Using the result of estimation, the manager could adjust the structure of network which has existed. For the first model, we consider how to divide a communication demand area into several small areas under a hierarchical network with single trunk line. And all the communication centers of small areas are linked together to form the single trunk line. The communication flow handled by the communication centers is used to represent the standard of the communication efficiency. Under the standard of the communication efficiency, a mathematical model of the optimal division of communication is developed by the function which is graphed on the plane of coordinate representing the communication demand flow of users. For the second model, we discuss how to arrange communication centers linked on a single trunk of hierarchical communication network. The communication demand flow of users is predetermined in every communication area which has existed. Because the communication centers of various arrangement incur the different total communication flow on the single trunk lines, a mathematical model of the optimal arrangement of communication centers is developed by the different total communication flow on the single trunk line. For the two mathematical models, using the logical process, we could yield the optimal solutions and the properties of the optimal solutions.
