Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 產業經濟研究所 === 83 === The purpose of this research is to discuss the labor participation and income of women, women executives and women entrepreneurs in Taiwan. Investigating data of women workers in Taiwan, it is found that the women labor participation rate increases rapidly in current years. Thus a comprehensive research is implmented, which has obviously not been discovered by domestic research. Several empirical results are found in this paper. First of all, same variables may have different impacts on different types of women workers. In general, the heads of family, high educated women and those women with more children intend to participate the full-time jobs. While the married, the unhealthy women and those women living in urban area are less interesting to participate the labor market. Moreover, the factors for promoting the statues of full-time women workers are also very different from part-time women workers. The capital accumulation and small enterprises are favorable for the promotion of full-time but not for part-time women workers. Married women and women with many children have more significant negative influence for the full-time women workers than the part-time women workers. Education and work experiences, over-time jobs are the important factors for enhancing full-time or part-time women worker''s income. All women worker''s income is also varied among different industries. For women executives and entrepreneurs, human capital accumulation will increase their income. However, due to the differences of job classification and age, the impacts for the income of women executives and entrepreneurs are not same.
