vices used in architecture design.Basically,they are
horizontal, vertical,and egg-crated shading. This research
chooses horizontal sun-shading and sun-reflecting devices as
subjects , and day- lighting model and computer simulation
were used as research me- thodologies. It is concerned that the
expectation of contribution for the basic research of
daylighting in architecture design. The interrelationship
between light and heat is the cause of efficiency of indoor
spacing influenced by daylighting and sun- reflecting devices,
therefore,besides to fulfill the need of day- light, high
efficient design of sun-shading is the best way to utilize
daylight. The focus of this research is model test and computer
simulation for simulating the efficiency of day-lighting and
sun-shading. Model test is to test the outdoor/indoor illu-
mination ratio of five categories for designed horizontal sun-
shading and sun-reflecting shelf and translate the result to
day- light factor in order to analize the efficiency of indoor
day- lighting. As far as the computer simulation, base on
taipei''s logitude/latitude, the calculation of corelation
coefficiency of sun-shading from different altitude and azimuth
of sun, according to different orientation in different time
under the condition of different sun-shading devices. A
graphical annual line chart will also be conducted according to
collected data for analization. Finally, this paper will
summarize the general efficiency of daylighting and shading,
and compare the characteristic of the five different types of
the day-lighting efficiency.
