Most of the one dimensional numerical simulation at the junction region the energy equation are assumed either constant water level at the upstream, lateral and downstream sections or no energy loss at the junction region. This study performed the 60,45 and 30 degree angle junction flow experiments and developed an one dimensional analytical model to predict the rate with upstream and downstream depth by using mass, momentum conservation principles. Then taking the results into energy conservation equation to predict the energy loss at the junction region.
