during the life of a vehicle at which it becomes cheaper to
obtain new vehicle than to keep the old. In the past, there
have been many replacement studies about transport equipment,
but most of studies is used to the specific conditions. The
conditions of individual fleet involve in acquiring cost,
operating type and maintenance policy of vehicles are
different. If one applies an arbitrary replacement model on
different fleet, then the economical life will maybe result in
a wrong decision. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a
replacement plan reference model for a fleets of vehicle. It
can guide for a manger fleet to construction their own
replacement plan and find the economical life of vehicle. This
research find the factors of influence vehicle economical life
by deducing literature process. These factors include of
maintenance and repair expense, fuel expense , downtime cost
and overhead. And this study discussed notes and relation
function of these factor. Finally, this study construct a
replacement plan reference model for vehicle fleet.The models
use the conception of present value method of engineering
economic. The solution models are divided into four type:
maximum profit replacement model for infinite period, minimum
cost replacement model for infinite period,maximum profit
replacement model for infinite period and minimum cost
replacement model for finite period. Finally, this study
introduce how to applied reference model in individual fleet by
a case study.
