The purpose of this study is to find how thesqueegee angle influence on the tone reproduction qualities in screen printing process. The tone reproduction qualities'' items including SID(solid ink density) 、 TTD(totaltinedensity),tone reproduction curve ,DG(dot gain) and PC(printcontrast). We examined tone reproduction affected by squeegee angle in the screen printing process with statistic methods,in order to achieve the goal of controlling the tone reproduction by controlling the squeegee angle, the napproach the final goal of printing quality control. Conclusions of research as follow 1.Squeegee angle has significant influence on TTD, DG and PC. 2.Squeegee angle is negative relation with TTD and DG, but is positive relation with PC. 3.Under different Squeegee angle, plate-press curve show S-shape. It exists quite difference from U-shape of ideal plate-press curves. Plate- Press curves downward with angle increase, but It shows a constant tendency. 4.Best regression model is y=b0+b1x1+b2x2+b3 x3+b4x4. 5 Squeegee angle between 60~85 degree, the variation of TTD and PC is constantly. Squeegee angle between 60~80 degree, the variation of DG is constantly. So,angle between 60~80 degree is suitable for screen printing. 6.DG Maximum point moves from 50% dot area to 60% area with angle increase and then fixes at 60% dot area.
