First, based on the Rice's theory, we derive the expressions the stress intensity factor of stress and displacement formulae. Next, we establish the muti-region BEM program to get the numerical solutions of the stress the interface crack tips of two-dimensional body. This research is purposed to investigate the suitability of mode-I, mode-II, and overall stress intensity factors on the interface crack problems by using a bimaterial elastic body subjected to biaxial tension and pure shear. The results show that the error of mode-I and overall stress intensity factors are in the acceptable range. Whereas, the error of mode-II stress intensity factor is relatively much bigger.
