Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程技術學系 === 83 === In view of the vast growth and complication of domestic public buildings, and traditional process can not suffice demands of implementation, this study is aimed at the institution of design/build system to reinforce the interface of design and construction for building projects. This study is basically divided into three parts: first, the framework of the design/ build system including fundamental theory and the structure of organization and varieties of execution is examined through comprehensive literature review. Second, by interviewing with professionals and scholars in this field as well as physical investigation, the practicability and potential problems of design/build are identified. Last, according to suggestions derived from panel discussions, the feasibility of the design/ build system for building construction projects is evaluated. Based on the results, it indicates that there is a great need to institute the design/build system for building construction projects. And, non sophisticated projects such as large-scale public housing construction which is considered comparatively suitable for the design/build system could be experimentalized in the present stage. Then the experience of practical execution could be accumulated for promoting the design/build system to other types of public construction. To establish the design/build system, this study developed several guidelines with regard to ''Preparation of Contract Documents''; ''Evaluation of the Contractor''s Tender Proposals''; ''Contract Administration''; ''Quality Control'' and ''How to Make Design/ Build System Effective'' etc. As a consequence some suggestions are proposed to the agencies concerned for reference.
