Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 83 === A feasibility study was conducted to asses the application of streaming current detector(SCD) in flotation process. The adsorbing colloid flotation of both Pb(II) and As(V) were inves- tigated. Zeta potential(ZP) and streaming currentreading( SC) of each colloid system were measured. Results show SC changed with pH values, and could be correlated to zeta potential. Considering the advantage of on-line measurement of electrical properties of colloid system. SCD has great potential of application in flotat- ion processes. In addition, flotation mechanism of Pb(II) and As(V) were examined, respectively. Importatnt parameter, such as SDS conc- ertration, colloidal concertration, and gas flow rate were exp- lored. When pH values were less than 4, Pb(II) was mainly remo- ved by ion fraction. When pH valurs were between 4 and 7, Pb( II) was removed by both ion fraction and adsorbing colloid flotation. When pH values were higher 7, Pb(II) was mostly removed by pre- cipitate flotation in form of Pb(II)2(s). As for As(V), the removal percentage increased with in- creasing colloid concertration. The optimum solution pH values were found to be 4 - 5. As(V) was first adsorbed on colloids, and then separation by foam.
