Summary:博士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 化學學系 === 83 ===   Macrocyclic complexes have a robust constithtion and not easily destroyed, even when subjected to strongly acidic, basic, oxidative or reductive media. The thesis contains the details of the synthesis of various novel macrocyclic complexes and the results and discussion of their structural characterization.The complexes that appear to be particularly interesting to us are those of completely conjugated macrocyclic system.   In Chapter Ⅱ,metal ion template condensation and metal ion exchange reactions have been used to synthesize octa-aza macrocyclic complexes. Seven crystal stuctures were determined by X-ray diffraction:   [Zn(C10H20Ng)(OCOCF3)](OCOCF3)1,[Zn(C10H20N8)C1](OCOCF3)2,   [{Zn(C10H20N8)}3S](BF4)4 3,[Mn(C10H20N8)(C4H10N4)](C1O4)2 4,   [Pd(C10H20N8)](BF4)2 5, [Fe(C10H20N8)(CH3CN)2](C1O4)2 6,   [Co(C10H20N8)(H2O)2](C1O)2 7。   In Chapter Ⅲ,varied chemical transformations of octa-aza bis-α-diimine cobalt complex [CoC10H20N8)(H2O2](C1O4)2 are presented. The completely conjugated macrocyclic complex [Co(C10H14N8)]2 is a staggered cofacial dimer with a non-bridged CoⅡ-CoⅡbond .Four crystal stuctures were determined by X-ray crystallography:   [CoⅡ(C10H16N8)]2 8,[CoⅡ(C10H14N8)2 9 [CoⅠ(C10H19N8)] 10, [COⅠ(C10H17N8)(NHNH]11。   In Chapter Ⅳ,the completely hexa-aza macrocyclic complex [Fe(C1H8N6)(CH3CN)2](C1O4)2 is folded by a series of bidentate diimine ligands.Complexes that were characterized by X-ray crystallography are as follows:   [Fe(C18H18N6)(phen](C1O4) 12 ,2[Fe(C18H18N6)(disn)](C1O4)13, 2   [Fe(C18H18N6)(pqdi)](C1O4)2 14。   In Chapter Ⅴ,ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes containing □-aromatic diimine ligands were synthessized. Intercalation of the water-soluble [Ru(cyclam)(bqdi)](C1O4)2 complex into calf-thymus DNA can be probed by emission spectroscopy. Two crystal structures were determined:   [Ru(cyclam)(bqdi)]Znc14 15,[Ru(cyclam (pqdi)(C1O4)2 16 。
