Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 護理研究所 === 84 === The main purpose of this study was to explore the self identity formation of five daughters with schizophrenic mother by mean of qualitative study.Subjects were recruited from Shian''s (1993)study,"Children relative factors study of schizophrenic patients in physical,psychological and social development", and independently interviewed with clients and patients to establish trustworthy relationship;the patients, family members and clients had agreed to accept visit and interview.
The researcher served as a nurse and observer- as - participant to collect data by low structured interview guidance. The research used the telephone as a tool to make appointments and offered the whole services of home care and medication consult if necessary during the continuing three - month process of visit.
The major focus was on description by client self about self identity and concern.The researcher guided clients through indepth interview and discussion in 90 minutes to 120 minutes.
Tape recording on the spot was done,the clients'' permission. The researcher recorded as a narrative including the verbal and situation expressed by these clients.Content analysis of the phenomenogical study was applied to analyze data.
The results of self identity formation disclosed two dimensions : self identity formation structures and self identity formation operations.The self identity formation structures included self role, self image, self ability and self existence; self role included coalition role,etachment role and substitute role;self image included unintegrity,
vigor deficient and heredity stigma;self ability included relationship, schoolwork achivement and strength;self existence included abnormal,incertitude and self constancy.Self identity formation operations included object operation and subject operation;object
