The contents of these studies are: (a) to perform ambient vibration tests of the bridge to find the natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes of the structure system and then the finite element model can be revised accordingly,(b)to perform time history analysis of the bridge to Taipei earthquake,EL-centro earthquake and Mexico earthquake by using SAP90 program to realize this bridge''s responses under earthquakes, and(c) according to the basic principal of the Aseismic Design Code of Bridge to evaluate the aseimic capacity of the bridge. It is found that the first yield of column may occur when peak ground acceleration reaches (a) 0.196g for Taipei earthquake or(b) 0.268g for EL-centro earthquake or(c) 0.11g for Mexico earthquake. In addition, the aseismic capability of the bridge will be strong enough to withstand the attack of earthquake specified by Aseismic Design Code.
