Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 83 === Strategic alliance is an effective way for a firm to get competitive advantage. Through strategic alliance, a firm can get its needed resource from other firms. Firms that are directly or indirectly allied thus form a network - so-called alliances network. This research intends to use social structure analysis technique to analyze the attributes of alliances networks of Taiwan''s information industries. Secondary data of alliances are collected from various sources for this purpose. Alliance is classified into four kinds: R&D, product, marketing, and finance. After the complex network is constructed in the computer, density analysis and actor analysis are executed to understand the characteristics of the network. The density analysis enables us to understand five structures of alliances: vertical alliance, horizontal alliance, international alliance, governmental institution alliance, and arbitrary alliance. The actor analysis allows us to understand the role patterns of each group, which is structurally equivalent in the network.
