the same purpose products from different vendors. The results
will be the purchase criteria of the products for uses.
Recently, Object-Oriented Database Management System(OODBMS)
have become a new approach of database management system. The
benchmark in object-oriented database management system is then
more important. Currently, the most well known benchmark for
object-oriented database management system is OO7 Benchmark[4],
which is confined to workstation environments. In this thesis,
refering to the OO7, we propose the OO7pc Benchmark, which is
an PC-based object-oriented database management system
benchmark. The main architecture of OO7pc follows OO7
Benchmark. In order to test object-oriented database product
developed in PC, the specifications of OO7pc are mainly
restricted on PC''s limitation. Finally, we construct OO7pc
databases and execute the operations on ObjectPro/ODB and
ObjectStore. Through detailed analysis, the tested results are
explained and some suggestions are given.
