Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 資訊科學學系 === 83 === We consider the problem of visualization of a set of 3D points in this thesis. We classify the problem into two cases. The first case is when the point set is dense and the other case is the point set is sparse. In the visualization of dense point set, we present a Grid Point Rendering Method. This method would produce aliasing. We propose a Z-interpolation method to eliminate such aliaing. The Grid Point Rendering Method can be applied to render terrain data, which can be implemented by a Sweeping Algorithm. We also present algorithm to map texture maps onto terrain data. Finally, two methods to render the sparse point set are discussed.
