There were 281 subjects selected from colleges and junior col- leges'' athletes(male 183, female 98). All the subjects were istered by "Chinese Type A Scale" and "Athletic Group Adaptation Inventory". The collected data were analyzed by t- test, one-way ANOVA, product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analy- sis. The main findings were as follows: 1.There was not difference of Type A behavior pattern percent between college male and female athletes, four different age 2.There was significant difference of "time urgency" between college athletes and non-athletes. "Competition and achievement" and "aggressiveness and hostility" of college athletes were high- er than those of non-athletes. 3.There were not differences of "time urgency","competition and achievement", and "aggressiveness and hostility" separately be- tween sex, different levels and age groups. 4.There were not differences of sport group adaptations between Type A and Type B college athletes. 5.There were not differences of sport group adaptations separ- ately between sex, different levels and age groups. 6.College athletes'' "time urgency","competition and achievement" and "aggressiveness and hostility" could predict 3.14% of the ance of their "Training adaptation", but couldn''t validly predict their "interpersonal adaptation", "emotional adaptation" and leadership adaptation".
