Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 83 === The shanks in ordinary rotary tool machines which have keys all
use opposite positioned slots on the chuck to transmit torque.
This manner of design easily creates stress concentrations and
loosening phenomena. The focus of this thesis is to use the
finite element method to analyze the 3-D contact triangular cam
components are subject to a torque effect and stress
distribution when utilizing growing-reforming procedure in
shape optimal design to find a smooth distribution of contact
stress and no concentrated stress at the boundary of shank. In
addition, this paper will conduct an analysis of different
elliptical shanks. In a comparison of triangular cam, ordinary
shanks and elli- ptical design in both its contact stress and
stability. Therefore, this methods can be used a primary
consideration in future improvement to shapes of rotary driven
components.
