Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 航空太空工程學系 === 83 === To investigate electromagnetic flow problems applied with magnetic field, an one-dimensional ideal plasma flow in a shock tube with effects of magnetic field is studied. The computer code is developed using upwind differencing and TVD scheme, and the values at computational cell surface are computed using Roe' s average. In order to verify the performance of the present numerical simulation, TVD limiters were firstly investigated. The results of MHD Riemann problem of Brio & Wu were reproduced and high Mach number cases were computed using gama equal 2 and 5/3, respectively. Finally, the classical shock tube problem without magnetic field was also computed for comparison. All the results show the code developed works satisfactorily. This study investigates the performance of shock tube under transerve magnetic field with four different levels of strength. The results show that, with the increase of the level of magnetic strength, the propagating speed of shock wave is increased, but the step increase of fluid properties, such as density, pressure, and velocity after the shock wave are reduced.
