Even though the airship is named as ``ship'', it is really a kind of aircraft, because it cruises at several feet height over the water surface. Due to the ground effect, the airship possesses good aerodynamic performance. No matter that it is used for business transport or military supply, the airship is more flexible and efficient than the traditional ship. For the country, which has large terrorital water or many islands, the airship is a high-load, low-fuel-consumption and new economical traffic vehicle. The main purpose of this thesis is to study the aerodynamic behaviors of the two-dimensional airship airfoil over the sea. For the different values of flight speed, altitude, wave magnitude and wave length , the interaction between airship airfoil and sea wave is investigated. Meanwhile, the effects of jet on the aerodynamic behaviors are studied when the jet is located on the undersurface of airfoil. From the present numerical study, the obtained aerodynamic coefficients can be used as the reference of airship design.
