The building is of circular shape with a lower rectangular part. Its heighht is about 145 meters. The study was conducted through model test in both water table flow visualization facility and wind tunnel test rig. This study was divided into two parts. Investigating the wind environmental effect of the building by the water table facility is the first part. Two Reynolds numbers were tested to see the influence region of the horseshoe vortex system and the wake region. The second part is to measure the surface wind pressure of the building in the wind tunnel. The data were used to analyze the wind pressure distribution around the building and compared with the results from building wind code of Taiwan and ANSI code modified by Professor Tsai and Mr. Lin of Taiwan University. It turns out that Taiwan code neglects lateral wind pressure effect and could have lower pressures than measured results. On the other hand, ANSI code modified by Tsai and Lin is more accurate and predicts results closer to the measures values. However, discrepancies in certain regions still exist.
