碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築研究所 === 83 === This thesis is aimed at researching the principles of Formal Harmony by an analytical method,and hence to propose a methodological program that can be useful to the related studies on the similar subject matter. This thesis is divided into three main parts as below: 1)Distinguish the major parameters related to formal harmony and then use these paremeters to etablish 8 different types of configurations which are the main resources for analysis. 2)Each parameter represent a quality dimension that could configurations some principles regarding the significance of each quality dimension are concluded. 3)Apply the principles of harmony as found in some architecural examples to know the potential and the limit of these principles.
