The copolymers were used for improvi- ng the antiwear effect and modifing the viscosity index . The viscosity index of lubricating oil was calculated accor- ding to ASTM-2270 , and it was improved by adding the prepared copolymers that were prepared. TheSEM photographs showed that copolymers containing-N(CH3)2 groups or -COOH group performed a thick oil film on the worn surface of rollers and it is thicker for the former than for the latter .
