Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 83 === An autotuning method is developed to provide plant operators with an easy-to-understand tool to design multiloop decentraliz- ed PI controllers in a sequential way. Underlying algorithms for sequential design are discussed. According to the algorithms, the multivariable design problem consisting of N interacting control loops can be treated as a sequence of N single-loop SISO problems. An identification procedure based on a step transient response test or a closed-loop relay test is then applied to each loop in a predetermined sequence. Multiloop controllers settings are obtained via the resultant models and the proposed tuning rules. The proposed autotuning method leads to satisfactory mul-tiloop design in the terms of performance, robust stability, and integrity with minimal engineering effort. Despite its simplicity, the method is often far superior to that resulting from the empirical method based on time-consuming trial-and- error procedures as demonstrated on numerous 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 actual distillation systems from the literature.
