The guidelines of designing a cam mechanism had been also established. Measurment on the vibration induced by the mechanism had been carried out. The cubic spline function was used to synthesize the profile f the cam while the jerk of pushing rod was minimized.e mechanism construced with various new design of cam and some spring was investigated. Furthermore, a transplanting experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of the mechanism. The results of this study are summarized in the following : 1.Inappropriate design of the pushing mechanism may cause the transplanted seedling to be floated or oblique, but it plays no role in seedling to be vacated or get hurt. 2.The guidelines of designing a cam mechanism and selecting a pushing springs have been established. 3.The methodology of designing a cam mechanism development in this study can be applied to other similar mechanism of the the agricultural machinary.
