Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 昆蟲學系 === 83 === Twenty-one constituents of fruits from guava(Psidium guajava),
go(Mangifera indica),citrus(Citrus grandis)and carambola(Averr
hoa carambola)were selected and tested in the screen house
toind out the most attractive compoumds for luring the oriental
fruit fly, Dacus dorsalis Hendel. Methyl anthranilate(MA),α-
terpineol(αT),ethyl acetate(EA),ethyl butyrate(EB)andinnamyl
alcohol(CA)showed the most attractive to both female andale
flies. By screening the various concentrations of molasses, it
showed that 50%molasses was the best in attracting the flies.
Tested on the five most effective constituents mentioned above
mixed respectively with 50% molasses, it showed that the
mixture of 50% molasses and ethyl butyrate(25:1)was the most
attractive one which was 1.8times higher than the 50% molasses
used aolne. Whwn two constituents mixed with each other, it
showed that the mixtures of αT+EA,EA+EB,αT+EB,EA+CA and MA
+EB attracted more adult flies than the other mixtures.
Further test on these five mixtures mixed with 50% molasses,
respectively, it showed the mixtrue of 50% molasses with ethyl
acetate and ethyl buryrate was the best one, with 61.0% of
attractiveness, which was 2 times higher than the 50% molasses
used alone. The mixture of 50% mola- sses with ethyl aectate
and cinnamyl alcohol was also highly eff- ective, with 49.3% of
attractiveness. The effective duration of attractant MEAEB
within 15 days period, showed the percentage of attraction to
the flies over 60% during the first six days, and maintained
45%~55% till the 10th day. Compare with 50% molasses within 15
effective days duration, the attractiveness of MEAEB was
apparently higher than those of 50% molasses, showed that when
adding the volatile constituents of host fruit ethyl acetate
and ethyl butyrate to the 50% molasses could increase the effec-
iveness of food attractant 50% molasses to the oriental fruit
fly at the first ten days.
