Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 物理研究所 === 83 === When a linear light impinge obliquely into the liquid crytal layer which is under an applied electric field,the phase difference between o-rays,and e-rays will make the linear light became elliptically polarized light.This phenomena will result in light leakage from the LCD(liquid crystal display) analyzer. And then cause the constrast become worse. By the phase difference between o-rays and e-rays ,and the transmission ratio of o-rays and e-rays , at incident angle of 45 degree. We design a optimized multilayer compensator to convert the elliptically polarized light into linear light which has also the azimuth with the incident light. By the optimized multilayer compensator design , the light leakage will reach the minimun.
