Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 大眾傳播學系 === 83 === Previous researches have shown that the way the "State" interacts with film industry in terms of the three State-run film studios. However, since the State intended to come accross to film industry after the Taiwan''s restoration from Japanese colony in 1945, not until 1960''s the Taiwan''s film industry has established on a basically fair scale. This paper hopes, from a wider point of view, to provide discussions on how the State Apparatus get involved with the development of Taiwan''s film industry. There are several clues revealing the "State" role in the process : First, cultural/ art policy controls and direct the contents and performance of the artistic forms. Second, law/political system regulate and institutionalize the shape of film industry. Third, the State''s taxation system regards film industry as pure business, therefore collects various items and huge amount of tax. Fourth, film, under the State''s educational system, is a necessary means for social propaganda to prevail the national identity.
