Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 電機與資訊工程研究所 === 82 === Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is an all day and night survei-
llance radar system capable of producing high resolution
microw- ave imaging. In this paper, we will study the theory
of image formation of the SAR. The Taiwan area SAR data of
Japanese Earth Resources Satellite-1 (JERS-1), which provided
by National Cent- ral University, will be used to do the
image formation signal processing. According to the orbit
parameters of JERS-1, the wa- veforms of SAR and relative
Doppler phase between satellite and earth, the FFT correlation
algroithm is used to compress the raw echo data of SAR in range
direction and azimuth direction to ge- nerate the two dimension
image of the earth surface. The range compensation of the
migration effect and speckle reduction are also implemented
to make the image more clear. The model of point target
response of the SAR is used to generate two point targets to
combine with the raw data of SAR on JERS-1. The same procedu-
res of the image formation signal processing are applied for
the combined data to produce the image of the earth surface
and two point targets. The correct position of the two point
targets in the image of the earth surface verified that the
parameters of satellite, waveforms of SAR and the simulation
program are all correct. The SPARC 10 workstation and the SPW
software are the tools for the implementations of the image
formation signal pro- cessing.
