It is assumed that within the solid the potential is constant ( positive or negative ). We take linear combinations of the solutions of the Schrodinger equation inside and outside the solid and choose the combination coefficients and closely as possible ( the wavefunction and the gradient component normal to the solid surface must be continuous ). thus we find the energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions. With the aid of obtained wavefunctions physical quantities ( hyperfine splitting constant , polarizability , nuclear magnetic shielding etc ) are calculated in different states. The curves of dependence of these quantities upon the distance from the hydrogen nucleus to the surface. The curves of constant values of electron probability density are also calculated. We found out that for negative values of potential inside the solid the electronic energy of the hydrogen atom reaches minimum at some distance from the hydrogen nucleus to the surface.
