Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 82 === Nondestructive testing (NDT) devices, such as road rater, have
been used widely to measure the surface deflection basin under
an applied load to evaluate the structural capacity of in situ
pavements. However, the most useful applications of NDT testing
is to backcalculate the moduli of pavement layers including the
subgrade. Two Programs called AC and PCC have been written for
use in nondestructive evaluation of flexible and rigid
pavements, respectively. These two programs use a vertical
deflection equation originally developed by Vlasov and Leont''ev
based on multilayered elastic theory and a concentrated load.
The study compared laboratory resilient moduli with the
backcalculated values from AC program and showed that the AC
program was adequate for use in predicting pavement layer
moduli. In order to further study the accuracy and suitability
of these two backcalculation programs, a field testing plan
using instrumented cores and road rater was conducted and
performed on both flexible and rigid pavements. In situ strains
were measured and compared with the results obtained from
BISDEF and BISAR programs in addition to AC and PCC. It was
concluded that the accuracy and suitability of these
backcalculation programs, AC and PCC, are confirmed.
