The contaminated water may thus enter the geological formation through the cleavage. By means of ground water movement, the radionuclides may reenter our living sphere. It is therefore essential to understand the migration of radionclides in geological formation and its adsorption mechanism as well in order to evaluate the safety of the radwaste storage site. Ground water contains several organic substances, and the majority of them are all called humic substances with the molecular weights between 5 x 10(2) and 10(6). They are complicated organic substances. Due to their complexity and versatility, it is impossible to describe them with a specific molecular configuration. In addition, they contain the functional group of complex metallic ions, and they are also soluble in water. The nuclides which can enter the geological formation may have various speciations due to both complexing and colloiding actions, and these speciations appear to have different migration and retardation power. This research project is to use aggregation column to study the 60Co speciation after humic acid complexing with reference to its migration behavior in andesite. By means of breakthrough curves and concentration distribution in the longitudinal cross section, one can study the retardation power of andesite for various 60Co complex speciations. This approach is further verified with batch method for the analysis of humic substances which would affect the migration behavior of radionuclides. 吳英奇 1994 學位論文 ; thesis 76 zh-TW |
