Both the input voltage tracking and the output voltage regulation have been studied. The former involves the power factor improvement whereas the latter allows good regulation under significant load variation. A formula for calculating the duty ratio is proposed. Phase plane analysis as well as circuit simulation using PSPICE are conducted.
