Injury of elementary school children and factors affect to request the Student Group Insurance Payment

碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 護理學研究所 === 82 === The results indcated that (1) fall down is the most frequently type of injury happened among elementary students (47% ), traffic accident is the more sever type of injury, and most of them are eithe　mild or moderate.　the average day of abesntee is within one week, the average medication cost is NT3000, students'''' injury usually happened around 2:00PM to 5:00PM (34%).　injury happened in sununer (43%) more than in winter (10%), and injury usually happened at school (44%). According to these data, the major reasons for students'''' injury are due to the needs of students'''' development and the insecure enviromnental design; (2) The major factors affect students'''' requisition of the Student Group Insurance payment are included; whether do the students'''' parents have been infonned by the school to request the insurance payment or not. whether do the parents have the knowledge of how the insurance reinberstment or not; the degree of injury severity ; whether do the students have other lind of insurance or not; and whother do they have the desire to request the insurance payment or not ; the insurance types which are owned by the students'''' parents and whether do the pparents know the Wtudent Group Insurance have already covered by the tuition or not have no significant influence on the requisition of students'''' insurance reinberstment.　　 According to this study, the best way to prevent elementary students from injury is to provide the education and the save environment since we can''''t restrict the needs for students'''' cevelopment.　We can raise the request rate of the Student Group Insurance by mean of increasing the communication betewwn school and parents, and encouraging parents to request the insurance payment. In addition, the data revealed that the severer of the injury, the more students will request the insurance qpyemnt, therefore, the student health insurance is very important and necessary for the elementary students.
