Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 82 === Radial forging is a special forging method. It has been widely used for reducing the diameter of ingots. Deformation in radial forging results form a large number of short-stroke and high-speed pressing operations by usually two or four hammer dies. It is used in casting-forging production line. The main purpose of the forging is to close the internal gaps within the ingots. The present paper utilize finite element method software DEFORM to analyze radial forging process for predicting internal change of material. In addition, the effects of the geometric parameters of multi-angle die on the forging effects was investigated using the finite element methods. The results have been found helpful to engineers for the die design.
