The main objevtive of the research is to simulate the spring- back of three types of U- bend processes,including traditional U-bend process,double-bend process and bending-restriking process . By observing the profile of the blank or its changes in stress and strain,we can easily know the deformation mechanism. This is helpful for us to make a correct decision in die design. In the paper,we derive a simple theory firstly to demostrate the complexity of theoretical analysis,then we turn to use finite element method. We find traditional U-bend process can''t reduce the "apparent springback" effectively;"punch width varition" is the best of in five practical double-bend process;and bending- restriking process is more stable,the differences between products is small.
