In other words,usually IT and business strategies proceed independently at the beginning,then IT develops reactively in support of business strategy,and finally both evolve interdependently. 3.Taiwan''s industry seems to show its weakness in the general IT environment and lag in the utilizatioon of IT for business competitiveness relative to its foreign counterparts in advanced countriese.Using the five-stage model,some suggestions could be raised.At stage one, local firms should particularly pay attention to the compatiibility of application sofeware and .at stage two, the selection of platform.At stage four,channel systems should strengthen the connection with upstreams suppliers and improve the service of information system,and manufacturing firms shoould speed up the channel and logistic functions.
