Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 82 === Owing to the heavy recurrent congestion of urban freeway,an analysis procedure for integrated ramp control of freeway corri- dor is established in this study. At first, estimating the O-D pattern by using FREQ10PE model and analyzing the characterist- ics of urban freeway. This study regards the interaction of mainlane and surface roads as the qualitative base of multi- ramps metering control. This study considers the performance of both mainlane and parallel surface aterial and different traffic conditions in peak and off-peak hours. Within the study, the condition of short trips diversion is analyzed by using equili- brium assignment. Moreover, FREQ10PE model is utilized to get optimal metering rates and evaluate the performance of the whole system. A case study of Sun Yat-Sen Freeway in Taipei Metropolitan Area has been presented. The ramp metering control strategies of traditional and the proposed methodology are compared in this study. According to the results, adopting the multi- ramps me- tering control could make the average travel speed of mainlane higher and more stable ,but the whole system''s performance depe- nds on the ramp control strategy and control object. The results show that the performance of mainlane is over-emphasized in tra- ditional methodology, so the performance of ramps and surface roads get worse. On the other hand, the positive performance of the corridor system and the less negative impacts to surface roads can be gotten by using the integrated ramp control stra- tegy of the proposed methodology. Therefore, the effectiveness of the proposed methodology has also been evaluted.
