rthquake response spectrum,at the same time,making the appo-
riate earthquake response spectra to meet two different soil
condition on Taiwan region which is based on the SMA-1 and
SMART-1 datl. Type 1 method(fixed bandwith multifilter
technique meth od),by use all earthquake data,depend on soil
condition and duration to 14 parts and deterninate the design
evelutionary power spectrum, and simulation earthquake
acceleration,final find the design earthquake response spectrum.
Type 2 method ( Envelope method) ,estimate Taiwan region
earthquake record e nvelope function, and find design
parameters, by use the sta tionary power spectrum to simulation
stationary time history record, next step to use envelope
function to get nonstation ary time history , final can get the
design earthquake respo nse spectrum. Type 3 method (Peak value
probability method), use the peak value probability concept,
give the probability P , can get the maximum response value,
final to get design earthquake response spectrum. To structure,
the design earthquake response spectrum is very important, so
this paper give three method to compare w ith old method and
point out the best method.
