Based on th results of the study, it was hoped to offer suggestions on improving environmental education for senior high school. In order to answer the research questions , a stratified random sampling procedure was conducted to select 2095 students among three grades students of public senior high schools in Taiwan. The instruments of the study consisted of four parts, which were natural resource, ecological balance, environmental pollution , and environmental ethics. The statistical approaches adapted for data anysis utilized t-test or one-way. ANOVA. The major conclusions of the sutdy were shown as following: 1.Urban students' general environmental attitudes were more positive than that of rural students, on the other hand, there was no significant difference between urban and rural students about environmental ethics. 2.Females' general environmental attitudes were more positive than males', meanwhile, no significant difference existing between females and males about ecological balance. 3.Natural science students' attitudes toward environmental pollution were more positive than that of social science students, but there was no significant difference between natural science and social science students about natural resource, ecological balance, and environmental ethics. 4.Underclass students' general environmental attitudes were more positive than that of upperclass students, meanwhile, no significant difference existing between underclass and upperclass students about environmental ethics.
