But it is in an emerging stage either the industry scale or the relative technology, and so as the bio-tech industry in Taiwan. Technology has developed very quickly within the past decades. And the applications of bio-tech to agriculture and food have expanded into medicine, special chemistry , enviroment protection , and so on. Therefore a company can't take all technology they need with in their R&D capability. That's the reason they must import some innovation technology for keeping their competetive advantage in market for a long term. Because an enterprise is operated for earning the profit with satisfing the demand of the market,so market -oriented comcept has been an universal guide among companies. But operations would be varied along with different industries. In the case of bio-tech in Taiwan now, most company are leaded by technical executives. They always know the specification of a technology innovation more than the market of the application of that technology. In this condition,it is worthly to study the decision-making process of how a company importing a technical innovation for satisfing the demand of market. This thesis is a case study of bio-tech industry in Taiwan by Delphi method to study the process model of decision-making on importing market-oriented innovation technology. Some improtant results are following: 1.Get the process model of decision- making on importing market-oriented innovation technology of the bio-tech industry(include research institutes and enterprises) in Taiwan now. 2.Find the difference of the decision making process between the technical providers, research institutes in bio-tech industry, and receivers, the enterprises in Taiwan today.
