ferrocenyl moieties mediated by two saturatedcarbons. A
polymetallocene-1,1,2,2-tetraferrocenylethane,was synthesized
from diferrocenyl ketone with low valent titanium reagent
titanium tetrachloride/lithium aluminum hydride in THF.As
indicated in the cyclovoltammogram, 1,1,2,2-tetrafrrocenyl-
ethane undergoes three consecative oxidation steps carring tha
ratio of anodic peak current 1:1:2 .In contrast to the
cyclovoltammogram of the analogous compound,
1,2-diferrocenyl-1,2-diruthenocenylethane, we conclude that the
through space electron coupling result from the interaction of
Cp ring of vicinal ferrocence.
