The physical properties will be studied . In needle punching process,when the needling depth lower than 14mm , the tensile strength increase with the needling depths increase . As it is more than 14mm , the web would be damaged and the tensile strength decrease . In the same conditin , the NO.36 needle with better tensile and tearing strength than the NO.40 needle . 60﹪nylon blended with 40﹪ polyester under needling density 900 ( needles/cm2 ); 80 ﹪ nylon blended with 20 ﹪ polyester under needling density 1100 ( needles/cm2 ) have better tensile 、 tearing and bursting strength . The tensile and tearing strength of pure nylon nonwoven increases with the increasing of needling density from 500 to 1300 . The elongation decreases with the increasing of needling density . The variation of needling density have no prominent influence to nonwoven fabrics wrinkle recovery and softness . Air permeability decrease with the increasing of needling density , but when the needling density is too high , the air permeability are increasing. The physical properties of heat calendered nonwoven fabrics are better than uncalendered . The calendered better than uncalendered . After calendering , the structer of needle punching nonwoven fabrics are more dense , and its tensile strength 、 tearing strength 、 bursting strength and wrinkle recovery increase ; the elongation 、 air permeability and softness decrease .
