form, there are many elements and approaches to follow
in thinking. The existing countless Phenomenons and
materials in nature provide mankind boundless experiences
consciously or uncosciously,so that we can sum them up or
transform them.Light, the element of nature,is the major
topic in this dissertation. It''''s discussed the implication
of light, in which they include their time factor,
regional factor, syombolic factor and biological
reaction, so that we may understand their features. Using the
history of architecture as timing axis, traced back the
development of light to architectural history and how it
plays role symbol,function and so on in the architectural
space and form. Besides, we are going to analyze the
expressional factor of light and the mutual influence.
Perception of light is subject to vision; in the meantime,
architecture is the visual expression of art. Through
the establishment of related theory and the concept of
vision as foundation and through the natural light
phenomenon and effectiveness as the object of examples and
observation. We may get the effectiveness of
relationship of comparative transformation architectural
space and form to sum up light to expressional type as well
as a new direction of future thought and design.
