has been developed consisting of a personal computer with a
dia- lysis machine. The serial interfaces including a singal
process- ing card , Multi-8255 and an AD/DA interface card,
were used for communication. By using the developed software in
C language , graphics are created for monitoring the dialysis
machine so that patient and system conditions may be easily
understood. The moni- toring conditions include dialysate
temperature,venous pressure, dialysate pressure , conductivity
of dialysate ,total amount of ultrafilteration ,target of
ultrafilteration , ultrafilteration rate, blood flow rate,blood
leak and air bubble.The control sys- tem include the
comfortable dialysis programing control of blood flow rate,the
alteration of setting the mode of dialysis machine and the
threshold of monitoring items. In this investigation, we
execute preliminary for the central monitoring /controlling
sys- tem and try to expand connecting with two dialysis
machines. The singal processing card has been accomplished and
produced.In hos- pital,the system is reliable and safe during
the dialysis The system is now available that allow for
monitoring and cont- roling one dialysis machine. In the future
, it can connect with multi-dialysis machines to construct a
network system . It will reduce the burden of physician and
increase the safety of patient during dialysis treatment.84
