Forty-three illnesses which could be treated by acupuncture were identified by the World Health Organization (W.H.0) The research of acupuncture has involved the fields of biochemistry, hematology, anethesia and anagesia. But the safety of acupuncture never evaluate detaily. This study was designed to investigate too more frequently electric acupuncture therapy will or won''t induce seriously pathologicl change on muscular tissue. And then we can more understand about elec troacupuncture therapy model. This experiment designed to investigate the four limbs of rabbits, and every rabbit we used upper limb [Binao (LI14) & Ouchi (LI11)] and lower limb [H''uantiao (GB30) & Fengshi (GB31)], 4 groups acupuncture points. Romdonly devided to experiment group (electure acupuncture) 3 and control group 1 (1 point acupuncture & the other no tx). In the same electric acupuncture wave (square wave) frequence (2Hz), intensity (2-4v), wave length (0.5 msec) and duration (15 min), 24 rabbits was t''x by (A) one time per day (B) one time per 2 days (C) 2 times per week. Every group has 8 rabbits. We tx 10 times for a cycle, and take the muscle biopsy of acupuncture point for pathology study in the day: (1) immediate after t''x (2) a week later (3) two weeks later (4) a month later, 2 rabbits everytime, to observe four acute pathology change: (1) hemorrhage (2) muscle rupture (3) degeneration (4) necrosis and four chronic pathology change: (1) granulation (2) muscle regeneration (3) nuclear change (4) scar formation, and evaluate the condition or muscular damage and recovery. We used fisher''s Exect Test to compare every two experiment groups. The results are (1) Simple acupuncture showed mild muscular pathological change and could fully recovery within 2 weeks. (2) The pathological change causing by electric acupuncture was more severe than simple acupuncture''s and needed more time to recovery. (3) The frequently 2 times per week induce less pathelogical change than other two groups. So we suggest that puncture on the same acupuncture point may not further more 2 times per week for avoiding serions musular damage. 賴義雄 張永賢 1994 學位論文 ; thesis 55 zh-TW
